FAQ

Boilers questions, answered.

What’s the difference between a boiler and a furnace?
A furnace heats air and blows it through ducts; a boiler heats water and circulates it through radiators or in-floor tubing. Boilers give very even, quiet heat and pair perfectly with radiant floor heating, but they need a hydronic distribution system.
What is a combi boiler?
A combi (combination) boiler provides both your home heating and your domestic hot water on demand from one unit — no separate tank. They save space and can be very efficient, which suits many GTA homes.
How long do boilers last?
A quality condensing boiler typically lasts 15–20 years with regular maintenance. Cast-iron boilers can last longer but are far less efficient, so replacement often pays for itself in fuel savings.
Can you connect a boiler to floor heating?
Yes — boilers are the classic heat source for hydronic in-floor heating. We design and install the boiler, manifolds, and controls together so the whole system is balanced.
